Road to Crystal Brush 2013 – The Bay Area Open!
The fantastic folks in charge of the Bay Area Open have decided to become one of the many stones in the foundation of the Crystal Brush competition of 2013! They are officially part of the Road to the Crystal Brush…and here’s what they have to say about the upcoming event:
The Bay Area Open is the largest miniatures gaming tournament on the West Coast of the United States of America!
Held in the Bay Area of California, the BAO is an event welcome to all types of hobbyists. We have Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine, Hordes and Flames of War events.
The BAO is a diverse tournament featuring Team Events with missions just wacky enough to be entertaining but not so much that they deter from the enjoyment of the event. Be sure to come in costume with a theme for your team for max points! The crazier the better!
We have narrative campaign events that are story driven, cooperative in nature, and feature big, beautiful models and custom terrain in a story that unfolds as you play.
And of course, we have our signature Championships events which draw the largest crowds and are a great way to scratch your competitive itch playing against a wide variety of highly skilled opponents from across the country in a setting that promotes fairness, fun and competition.
We are also known for our incredibly generous prize support, with prizes for the best player of each army, best painters and converters and a massive prize for the tournament champion. Last year we gave away a painted army of the winner’s choice!
The BAO is a great event open to anyone who wants to come and have a weekend away from the stresses of life, tossing dice, making friends and having fun. It is also the most affordable major GT in the country, with hotel rooms at $69.99 per night, and no ticket for any event over $55.
So come on out and join us for another fantastic year at the Bay Area Open, 2013!
